Variations in load and pressure are the most critical issues for horizontal drills. SAI provides effective solutions for both drilling and traveling with efficient power transmission across the machine’s entire operating range:

  • Variable, electrohydraulically controlled or constant pressure motors are the ideal solution for maximizing drilling productivity
  • The complete pull back shaft assemblies, which are capable of supporting the pinion load
  • Both solutions are compact and robust, built to withstand fatigue and shock while reducing energy consumption and enhancing overall efficiency.

Seven-piston double-displacement motor with integrated planetary gearbox having 6:1 reduction ratio, also available in negative brake version (TS8DF).

BD R24

These shaft end units, composed by a double displacement motor coupled to a planetary gearbox having 6.231:1 reduction ratio, can be also combined with static brake as an optional. Compact solution with high driving torque, bears radial loads. SAI motor’s efficiency, combined with a single-stage gearbox, offers maximum starting torque and high precision in rotation control.

BD R20RFA

Shaft end drive units with optional static brake. A compact solution with high driving torque, able to bear radial loads. SAI motor’s efficiency, combined with a single-stage gearbox, offers maximum starting torque and high precision in rotation control. The use of double displacement or continuous variable displacement, offers an extension of the performance range up to very high speeds. The displacement variation can reach 0 cc/rev, under request.

TS8V

Series of double displacement motors with extreme specific power.

High sustainable pressure and flow rate make T motors ideal in the most severe and demanding applications.
TV-TD motors allow continuous displacement variation. It is possible to achieve minimum displacement 0 cc from any maximum displacement.
Maximum efficiency enables optimal engine performance even at 10 percent of maximum displacement.
